PUBLIC SPEAKING

Picture
Dr. Jessica Hernandez brings Indigenous science, climate justice, and powerful storytelling to audiences around the world. A best-selling author and internationally recognized Indigenous scientist, she has delivered keynote addresses and presentations for universities, conferences, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and communities committed to advancing climate action and conservation. Through every engagement, she challenges audiences to reimagine environmentalism through an Indigenous lens.

Drawing from her acclaimed books Fresh Banana Leaves and Growing Papaya Trees, as well as her lived experiences as a Binnizá (Zapotec) and Maya Ch'orti' woman, Dr. Hernandez weaves together scientific research, family testimonios, and generations of Indigenous knowledge. Her presentations are engaging, thought-provoking, and deeply personal, creating space for meaningful dialogue rather than one-way instruction.

Audiences leave with a deeper understanding of Indigenous perspectives on environmental stewardship, climate justice, and conservation, as well as a renewed appreciation for the vital role Indigenous-led solutions play in addressing today's most pressing environmental challenges

Speaking honorariums are donated to Earth Daughters to support community projects, Indigenous research, and environmental justice work.
